Riverside County Gas Prices Fall Again, Hit Lowest Level Since June 2021

Gas prices in Riverside County continued their downward trend today, falling for the 34th time in the past 35 days. The average price for a gallon of self-serve regular dropped eight-tenths of a cent to $4.194, the lowest level since June 2021.According to AAA and the Oil Price Information Service, local gas prices have declined 50.5 cents over the past 35 days. Prices are now 9.1 cents lower than a week ago, 45 cents lower than a month ago, and 7.1 cents below last year’s level. Since hitting a record high of $6.373 in October 2022, the county average has fallen by $2.179.Nationally, the average price of gasoline also edged down, slipping three-tenths of a cent to $2.855. The national average is down 8.5 cents over the past 11 days and is 18.7 cents lower than a year ago. Since peaking at $5.016 in June 2022, the national average has dropped by $2.161.
