Two arrested after $80,000 horse stolen from ranch

Authorities have arrested two people in connection with the theft of a high-value horse from a rural property in the unincorporated community of Thermal, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies from the Thermal Sheriff’s Station East Rural Crime and District Team began investigating the case on Nov. 26, after receiving information about a horse stolen from the 56000 block of Monroe Street. Investigators later determined that a bay thoroughbred mare, valued at approximately $80,000, had been taken from a local horse ranch.
