The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman who died Friday, Dec. 26, after being struck by a vehicle on eastbound Interstate 10 in Indio. The California Highway Patrol says she apparently jumped from a bridge over the freeway.
Denise Madril, 55, of Los Angeles died at the scene near Golf Center Parkway.
The incident was reported at around 4:33 p.m. and led to an hours-long closure of two eastbound lanes during the investigation.
