Gas prices in Riverside County continued to fall today, reaching their lowest level since June 2021.The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline dropped 1.5 cents to $4.16, according to AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. Prices are now 2.4 cents lower than a week ago, 39 cents less than a month ago, and 11 cents below last year’s price.Local gas prices have fallen more than $2.21 since hitting a record high of $6.37 in October 2022.GasBuddy analyst Patrick De Haan said lower oil prices, strong refinery production, and growing fuel supplies are keeping prices down. He expects the downward trend to continue into January or February.
