Temecula Stabber Pleads Guilty to Attempted Murder

A 52-year-old man who stabbed a Temecula resident multiple times during a confrontation on the west end of the city pleaded guilty Wednesday to attempted murder and was immediately sentenced to seven years in state prison.

Ricardo Castro of Los Angeles admitted the felony count under a pretrial agreement Wednesday with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office. In exchange for his admission, prosecutors dropped one related charge and a sentence-enhancing allegation against Castro.
