A rally organized by the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) took place in Orange County today, part of a series of nationwide protests addressing the tragic killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agent in Minneapolis.
“Justice for Renee,” reflecting a growing movement that has seen vigils and protests emerge in cities across the country, including San Antonio, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and multiple locations in North Carolina. These gatherings aim to condemn the actions of ICE and call for accountability in response to what many describe as reckless state-sanctioned violence.
Community members expressed their sorrow and outrage, emphasizing the profound impact of Good’s death on her family, particularly her children (a daughter age 15 and two sons age 12 and 5).
“Our deepest condolences go to Renee’s family, whose lives have been shattered by this tragic event,” said one speaker at the rally. “We stand together to demand justice and an end to the violence perpetrated by ICE.”
