A local police department is mourning the sudden loss of one of its own after a commander died during a training assignment.
The Oxnard Police Department released a statement on Saturday expressing “tremendous heartbreak and sadness” over the death of Oxnard Police Department Commander Scott Aaron.
According to OPD, Commander Aaron was attending a training assignment in Orange County and was scheduled to complete the weeklong course this past Friday; however, he failed to show up for training on Thursday and Friday.
