Rebecca Haro, the mother accused of murdering her infant son Emmanuel Haro and falsely reporting him as kidnapped, is due in Riverside court this morning for a felony settlement conference.The case dates back to August, when Rebecca and her husband Jake Haro reported Emmanuel as kidnapped in Yucaipa. Rebecca told investigators she was attacked in a parking lot while changing Emmanuel’s diaper and that he was abducted. Authorities later determined the report was fabricated, and about a week later, Riverside and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the couple, accusing them of killing the child.Jake Haro pleaded guilty in October to murder, child endangerment, and filing a false police report. His pleas were entered directly to the court, not as part of a deal with prosecutors.
