A multi-vehicle crash on the 10 Freeway westbound in Ontario that included a semi-truck resulted in the death of one driver and freeway closure for numerous hours. The crash occurred early in the morning on Thursday, Jan. 15.
Initial reports of the crash were made after 3 a.m. in the proximity of the I-15 connector, California Highway Patrol said.
A preliminary investigation discovered that a Kenworth tractor pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with a large excavator was traveling westbound in the No. 3 lane when it struck the Interstate 15 overpass, the CHP said. The impact caused a metal beam to fall from the overpass onto the freeway…
