Arrest made in baby formula theft at Walmart
Officers from the Irvine Police Department found a vehicle at Walmart linked to a past shoplifting case involving over $900 in stolen goods. They stopped Ionut Alexandru Maglasu, 25, of Brea, as he returned to the car with baby formula.
With help from an Orange County District Attorney Public Assistance Investigator, police found that the EBT cards he carried were stolen. Maglasu is suspected of using them to buy infant formula at Walmart and Target.
