Family members of missing teen T’Neya Tovar have confirmed to NBC Palm Springs that her remains have been recovered, marking a tragic development in the missing teen case that has been under investigation for weeks.The family says they were notified by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday. At this time, details surrounding Tovar’s death remain limited, and no cause of death has been released.Tovar had been missing since December. According to her family, she traveled to Thermal and was last seen at a home on Harlequin Court. The FBI searched the property last week and formally announced a federal investigation into her disappearance just one day prior to the recovery.The investigation remains ongoing.We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
