The Santa Ana River Trail (SART) completion of Phase III will be celebrated. Regional Parks along with Board of Supervisors Chairman and Third District Supervisor Dawn Rowe and Vice Chair and Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. will celebrate the completion of the SART Phase III with a ribbon-cutting ceremony from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12. The first official ride out onto the trail will begin immediately after.
The completion of Phase III represents significant progress in advancing the SART project, which will eventually result in a complete path from the National Forest boundary in Mentone to the Pacific Ocean in Huntington Beach.
With the completion of Phase III, 11 miles of trail now makes it possible to walk or bicycle along the river from a spot north of California Street, through all of San Bernardino and Colton, and nearly to the western end of Riverside…
