Residents left without gas for 3 days after water enters service lines in Ontario

More than 2,000 San Bernardino County residents were left without gas after water entered service lines on Saturday, and as of Tuesday, crews are still working on repairs, according to officials.

Southern California Gas Company crews discovered around 9:30 a.m. that water had seeped into multiple gas lines near homes and businesses around 2252 South Euclid Avenue in Ontario, and immediately began removing it to prevent further infrastructure damage.

“As part of this process, crews shut off service meter by meter, temporarily causing natural gas service interruptions to customers,” the Gas Company stated…
