The Riverside County coroner’s office has identified the pedestrian who died in Palm Desert earlier this month after being struck by a car.
The collision occurred around 7:40 a.m. March 3 near the intersection of Portola Avenue and Retreat Circle, with deputies responding to a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Deputies found Shannon Daly, 66, in the roadway with major injuries. Cal Fire medics transported her to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where she was pronounced dead shortly before noon. She was a resident of Mill Creek, in northern California…
