4‑alarm Riverside fire sends smoke billowing into the air, spreads to field

A 4-alarm fire at a pallet yard in Riverside sent huge plumes of smoke into the air and then spread onto a nearby field.

The blaze was reported just after 3 p.m. Monday in the area of Main Street and Garner Road, between the Santa Ana River bottom and Interstate 215, according to the Riverside Fire Department.
