Fire near 330 Main St contained after 22 acres burned

A large fire near 330 Main Street in Riverside has been largely contained after burning about 22 acres, including a pallet yard, the former AB Brown Soccer Facility, and parts of the old Riverside Golf Course. Forward progress has stopped, and evacuation orders have been lifted.

Three firefighters were injured and taken to local hospitals, all in stable condition. Mutual aid crews are being released, while Riverside Fire Department personnel remain on scene overnight to manage remaining hot spots. A reception center was set up at Bordwell Park/Stratton Community Center, 2008 Martin Luther King Blvd, and Reid Park remains closed…
