Two Killed in Overnight Chaos on Ontario’s Westbound 10 Freeway

An overnight multi-vehicle pileup on the westbound 10 Freeway in Ontario left at least two people dead and several others injured, according to officials, snarling traffic as emergency crews worked through the night to reach and remove victims.

According to CBS Los Angeles, the Ontario Fire Department said crews were called out shortly before midnight to a crash involving multiple vehicles between Euclid Avenue and Fourth Street, after an initial report of as many as 25 possible patients. The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert for several westbound lanes and requested six tow trucks to help clear the wreckage. The cause of the crash was not immediately known, and investigators remained at the scene.

Investigation continues as delays linger

As CBS Los Angeles notes, the CHP and Ontario Fire Department stayed on scene while tow trucks and cleanup crews worked through the morning. Drivers are being warned to expect delays in the area until the roadway is fully cleared…
