A suspicious death investigation in Orange County led authorities to uncover an illegal gambling operation early Sunday morning, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Body Found in Alley Sparks Investigation
Deputies responded around 5:30 a.m. to reports of a dead body in an alley near Flower Avenue and Beach Boulevard, between Cerritos Avenue and Pacific Street.
When officers arrived, they discovered the body of a man believed to be in his 30s. Authorities have not yet released his identity.
Probe Leads to Illegal Gambling House
During the investigation, detectives traced leads to a nearby residence located at Cerritos Avenue and Flower Avenue.
