O.C. officer allegedly stole thousands in pay for court appearances he never made

A former Fountain Valley police officer has been charged with felony grand theft for reportedly stealing thousands of dollars in court pay for traffic court appearances he never made, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

Corona resident Stuart Robert Chase, 50, has been charged with a felony count of grand theft and felony count of filing a false claim to a government entity.
