An elderly woman crashed her car during Friday morning drop-off at an elementary school in Riverside, police say, hitting several other vehicles and injuring the child in her car.

The incident happened at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School during the busy morning drop-off period, according to the Riverside Police Department.

Authorities said the driver, whose age and name were not immediately provided, experienced a medical issue while behind the wheel, causing her to lose control and strike multiple vehicles.
