Police investigating deadly Riverside County home invasion stabbing

Police in Riverside County are investigating a deadly home invasion, authorities announced.

In a news release posted to Instagram, officials with the Hemet Police Department said officers responded April 8 to the 900 block of South Santa Fe Street after receiving reports of a possible burglary in progress.

β€œWhen officers arrived at the scene, they located a male down in the front yard of the residence, suffering from multiple lacerations and stab wounds,” the release stated.

The unidentified man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Despite lifesaving efforts, he later died from his injuries.
