A brush fire in Jurupa Valley Wednesday afternoon forced evacuations after threatening homes and growing to more than 30 acres.
In an update around 6:45 p.m., fire officials said crews stopped the blaze’s forward rate of spread. Cal Fire estimated the fire to be about about 34 acres in size and containment at 25%.
