Black Veil Brides unleashed their seventh studio album, Vindicate, on May 8, 2026, via Spinefarm Records. The band released the title track to this album earlier in the year as well as their latest single and music video, “Cut”, which features Lilith Czar. We were so excited for the chance to catch Black Veil Brides live last week when the Vindicate headline tour rolled into Piedmont Hall in Greensboro, NC. The tour, which kicked off on April 25th in Riverside, California, is set to run through May 30th, ending in Worcester, Massachusetts. The band brought along From Ashes to New, TX, and As December Fails to play support for the entire tour.
On May 11th when Black Veil Brides hit the stage, this general admission room was absolutely packed full of screaming fans. The bands immediately launched into “Knives and Pens”, from their 2010 debut album, We Stitch These Wounds. The band got aboutttt 98% of the song finished before lead vocalist, Andy Biersack stopped the show. Whaaat?! Actually, he merely noticed someone in the crowd not doing so well and needing medical attention. As the pure professionals they are, Black Veil Brides immediately paused the show just to ensure everything was okay before continuing on. I didn’t have to write about this, but I thought it was important. Sometimes things happen, but even when you are in the crowd, we all watch out for one another. I think it’s amazing when artists see this and immediately stop. The fan was okay and got the help they needed, but the band continued just chatting, keeping everyone entertained during this moment to make sure they were okay before continuing the music.
They actually joked a bit about restarting “Knives and Pens” but decided to move on to the next track on the set list that night, which was “Bleeders”, off their latest release. Since this show happened only a few days after the release of their latest album, it felt exciting to me, hearing some of these new songs live for the first time. I love that. I love hearing old tracks from my favorite bands, but it’s exciting to hear new stuff live. With Black Veil Brides, they just keep releasing great songs with each new album. As a fan, I want to hear it all. But they played an incredible set, giving the fans a full 18-song set that night! Black Veil Brides had just played Welcome to Rockville and then hit up Sonic Temple Festival and I know those are exciting. But I’m always going to appreciate those big headline sets where I just get to hear a huge chunk of all my favorites. That’s definitely what Black Veil Brides is giving fans a dose of on their headline tour. Some new music mixed with a huge selection of all your favorites…
