The Odem Area Lions Club is encouraging residents to donate used eyeglasses to help provide the gift of sight to people in need, both locally and around the world. Lions Clubs across the state participate in collecting eyeglasses to support projects through the Texas Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center.
The club accepts donations of adult and children’s eyeglasses, including prescription glasses, non-prescription sunglasses and reading glasses.
Collection boxes are available at several locations in Odem, including Railroad Seafood Station, Odem City Hall, the Odem Public Library and the Odem Post Office. Donations may also be dropped off at the Mathis Post Office or Smith Physical Therapy in Taft…
