Inspired by a teacher, Wedel strives to inspire students

Each day in the classroom, Bayley Wedel uses some of the skills she learned not in college or as a student teacher, but as a student at Loveland High School in Colorado.

Wedel said one of her English teachers in high school, Danny Hollweg, made such an impression her that some of practices he used are things she uses in her classes today at Rockport-Fulton High School.

“I had the most amazing teachers growing up,” Wedel said. “My high school English teacher was the best teacher I ever had. He taught with some purpose, dedication, and knowledge. I still use the skills he taught me to this day. When I graduated, he told me to be somebody — I try to be like him every day and if I can be even a fraction of the teacher he has, then I will have succeeded.”…
