Tropical Storm Cristina leftovers may fuel days of Texas storms

As the spring season comes to a close, Texas continues to see quick-moving weather patterns. In the latest forecast, a coastal system moving in from the Gulf could bring rain and storm chances from Corpus Christi to San Antonio and into the Texas Hill Country through next week. Some areas could see isolated activity as early as Wednesday, June 10.

Lower storm chances are appearing in several Texas towns. New Braunfels has a 20% chance of rain on Wednesday night, and National Weather Service data show that most of the greater San Antonio area has a roughly 10% to 15% chance of rain . Areas from South Texas toward the I-35 corridor could see early storm activity.

“Isolated showers and storms can be expected today mainly over the coastal plains into the I-35 corridor,” the NWS Austin-San Antonio office said. “Rain chances trend upward late this weekend into early next week.”…
