The 2026-2027 Taft High School cheerleading squad recently attended a Universal Cheerleader Association (UCA) training camp in Austin, bringing home several awards and honors on an individual and team level.
From June 12-15, Taft’s squad took part in the UCA Cheer Camp on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.
On Day 1, the district said the squad earned UCA Spirit Sticks for School Spirit and Team Evaluation performance, followed by a Superior ribbon for their Sideline/Cheer evaluations on Day 2 and another Superior Ribbon for their Camp Dance on Day 3.
