Two Texas property owners have filed a class action suit accusing Tesla of illegally dumping toxins from its lithium refinery near Corpus Christi onto their property.
Jo and Jesus Molina, who own property in Robstown in the Baffin Bay Watershed, filed suit in May in the Southern District of Texas, according to court records. The Molinas allege that Tesla has violated the terms of its state-issued wastewater discharge permit by letting water that contains carcinogens and unauthorized contaminates flow onto their property. They are seeking more than $1 million from Tesla.
