Following concerns expressed by parents and families in the area, Ingleside ISD recently announced it has revised its plan for students who walk or ride their bicycles home from Gilbert J. Mircovich Elementary.
According to the Aug. 17 announcement, the school has enlisted two additional crosswalk personnel to help with the new plan to provide a safer and more cohesive dismissal process.
When students are dismissed, the school said students who are walking or biking home from school will report to the GJM gym, where bikes will have been secured in a designated area. From there, assigned GJM adults will walk students together to the back gate on Avenue K…
