CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Crews with Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi helped rescue six people in a stranded, flooding vessel on Friday morning, according to a post on their Facebook page.
A mayday call was sent around 10:40 a.m., the Coast Guard said. A boat with six people 24 nautical miles offshore of Port Aransas was rapidly taking on water. A response boat was launched from Station Port Aransas, as well as two aircraft from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi.
