Members of Girl Scouts Troop 9849, representing youth from Ingleside and Aransas Pass huddled inside the foyer of Lowes, 150 FM 1069 Saturday, January 20th, hoping shoppers who braved the feel-like temperature of 27 degrees outside would come inside and buy boxes of Girl Scout Cookies. Several Girl Scout troops fanned out in the area last weekend for ‘Cookie-Palooza’, with an ambitious goal of selling 4,200 boxes of cookies in a single day. Troop members included (left to right) Ellie Shipp, age 6, Abigail Sasin, 5, Penelope Garza, 7, Rosalie Shipp, 4, and Annaliese Freeze, 7. Peanut Butter Patties and Thin Mints, the girl’s parents said, were among the biggest sellers.
