22-year-old Aaron Jasso was arrested for two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after a shooting following a road rage incident was caught on camera.

The Corpus Christi Police Department is investigating a shooting following a road rage incident that began at Brawner Parkway near Horne Road around 7:38 a.m.

“Officers arrived and contacted a 38-year-old male victim. The victim told officers he was traveling south on Ramsey St. when he noticed a maroon van tailgating him. The victim sped up to get away and avoid being struck. That is when the van passed him on Horne Rd,” stated Corpus Christi Police Department Senior Officer Antonio Contreras.

Investigators said the driver of the van pulled in front of the victim’s vehicle and immediately slammed on his brakes, causing the victim to strike the van. The driver of the van, 22-year-old Aaron Jasso, then exited his vehicle and approached the victim while holding a pistol in his hand.

“The male driver banged on the victim’s window several times and pointed the gun at the victim. The male driver then shot into the victim’s vehicle hood several times as he walked back to his van,” added Officer Contreras.
