As Texas state authorities fight ceaseless battles against explicit drag performances where children are allowed to attend with adults—now there is another identified event targeting children set to take place tomorrow in South Texas, Friday, February 2. The House of Rock in Downtown Corpus Christi will host a drag show titled “Art Walk: We Love Corpus Christi”.
A special interest group has issued an alert asking Texans in the area, and throughout the state to call the venue handling the show to stop children from attending.
The Azul Entertainment will be organizing the event, which will showcase a lineup of local drag queens, including Porcelain (Eli Rose), Gemini B York (John Wootres), Desiree Brooks, and Dino Andrews York. It is worth noting that the social media activity of these performers reveals content of a sexual nature.
According to the original flyer, the performance is open to all ages.
Once the announcement was made ‘The Texas Family Project(TFP) and Defend Our TX Kids'(DOTK) shared the flyer, and the group removed the phrase “family friendly.” However, TFP confirmed over the phone to a Texas Scorecard reporter that the venue will still allow children into the building.(Anyone willing to protest the show can call 361.882.7625)
