City of Corpus Christi officials are expected to soon make their final votes on the $1.8 billion 2024 budget that supports municipal operations – to include projected revenue from utilities rates, property taxes and service fees.
Tuesday is anticipated to be the second and concluding vote on how much funding the city will bring in from those funding streams, as well as how expenditures are planned.
Among other items, the budget outlines how much the city will invest in its various departments – to include public safety, animal care, libraries, parks and streets.
The council last week took its first vote.
Residents seeking to weigh in on the budget will have one more time to speak before it is expected to be voted on.
The Corpus Christi City Council meets at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in council chambers at City Hall, 1201 Leopard St.
