13 things to do this Friday the 13th in Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

Friday the 13th is considered an unlucky day for most in the United States.

Triskaidekaphobia is the term describing the fear or avoidance of the number 13. But why is the number 13 considered superstitious?

One suggestion comes from Norse mythology where 12 gods had a dinner party in Valhalla. Loki, the trickster god, arrived as the 13th guest — even though he was not invited. He used his sorcery to force one god to shoot another, which caused the planet go dark. This event made the day bad and unlucky.

In modern times, some people celebrate the unofficial holiday with events. Here are 13 fun events to do in the Coastal Bend this Friday.
