Police arrest two drivers for street racing in front of station

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Two drivers were arrested for street racing in front of the main police station in downtown Corpus Christi, authorities said. The incident occurred on November 15, 2024, around 8:34 p.m. Officers observed the vehicles, driven by 56-year-old Graceala Leos and 31-year-old Eduardo Soto, accelerate at high speed in a side-by-side competition, according to a press release from the Corpus Christi Police Department. The race ended abruptly when the drivers noticed a police unit at a traffic light. Both drivers were stopped and arrested for racing on the roadway. They were transported to the City Detention Center for booking, and their vehicles were impounded, the department stated.
