It’s official: Three spots on Corpus Christi’s leading policymaking body will be decided in less than four weeks.
Tuesday, the City Council formally accepted the voting returns that determined the outcomes of the November election.
There were no challenges voiced on the results, which showed the same candidates officially winning as those reported winning based on unofficial returns election night.
A runoff election was also called for the places of mayor, as well as representatives for District 1 and District 4.
Vying for the mayoral seat are incumbent Mayor Paulette Guajardo and current at-large City Councilman Michael Hunter.
Incumbent City Councilman Everett Roy and former council member Billy Lerma are competing for District 1, and Kaylynn Paxson and May Nardone Mendoza are in the running for District 4.
Early voting for the runoff election will be held from Monday, Dec. 2, through Friday, Dec. 6, and Monday, Dec. 9, through Tuesday, Dec. 10.
Election day is Dec. 14.
The voting schedule will be as follows, as shown on a presentation given before the City Council.
