A man initially charged with murder in a deadly shooting at a Corpus Christi nightclub in 2023 will stand trial this summer after a Nueces County judge dropped a plea deal during a hearing on April 29.
Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department arrested Paul Villarreal, who is now 22, on April 9, 2023, and charged him with killing Adam Burns during a shooting that happened at The Ranch, a dance hall on the city’s Southside.
