CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — CORPUS CHRISTI — Applause filled the Veterans Memorial High School auditorium Tuesday night, as 188 Corpus Christi ISD seniors were celebrated not just for graduating, but for becoming the first in their families to earn a high school diploma.
The emotional ceremony drew proud families to the packed auditorium, where school principals and CCISD Superintendent Roland Hernandez honored each student on stage.
