CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Free swimming lessons are coming to Aransas Pass!
Aransas Pass Director of Community Enrichment Kaylynn Paxson said that, thanks to a $15,000 grant from Phillips 66, more students will be able to learn swimming as a life-saving skill.
“Being a coastal community, there is water all around us,” she said. “There’s the beach, the pools, the intercoastal (waterway), there’s access for swimming everywhere. So it’s important, especially at a young age, that children have access to swim lessons and that they become really strong in those skills.”…
