CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — As families across the community are celebrating Mother’s Day with their loved ones, one local clown is using his talent to honor his late mother in a unique way by creating special arrangements to raise money to fulfill her final wish.
Benjamin Abbott, better known as Lucky the Clown is putting his skills to the test to raise money for his mother, Dolly Abbott, who recently lost her battle with Stage 4 colon cancer after being in remission for a year. Her final wish was to be buried laid to reset beside her late husband of nearly 40 years, Robert Abbott Jr.
“She was a fun, loving lady. She loved her grandkids probably more than her own kids but she was always taking care of her kids and you know make sure everyone was taken care of,” Lucky said. “Again we didn’t think we we’re going to lose her this soon so we hope we had the two years but we didn’t. So we have to figure out what to do really fast.”…
