CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Tonight, the Corpus Christi International Airport’s Public Information Officer Lacey Guzman has confirmed that the Coast Guard’s HC144 “Ocean Sentry” had a malfunction during landing when the aircraft’s landing gear locked. The plane, which had six people on board, landed safely with no issues at 6:50 p.m.
Four public safety officers responded with two Aircraft Rescue Fire and Fighting trucks. According to Guzman, public safety officers are required to respond to the midpoint of each runway within three minutes of a call.
