CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A joint effort between two fire departments responded to a commercial fire near the airport Wednesday morning.
The Assistant Chief with Corpus Christi Fire Department, Daniel Valdez, said it received fire reports at Sunrise Foods just after 5 a.m. The store manager arrived and found smoke coming out of the building. Crews with CCFD and Annabelle Fire Department were quickly sent to the scene and had it under control under 20 minutes.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported. CCFD said a fire inspector and a health inspector will work together to determine when it’s safe for the store to open back up…
