Cezar Martinez of Los Musicales Contesting DWI Charge After Father’s Day Accident

Cezar Martinez, the current and longest-tenured lead singer of Grammy-winning Tejano band David Lee Garza y Los Musicales, is contesting a recent DWI charge following a single-vehicle accident on Father’s Day, June 15, 2025. The 32-year-old singer, who also serves as secretary of the Robstown Independent School District Board of Trustees, was arrested after reportedly crashing his vehicle into a fence while driving to Robstown.

According to KRIS 6 News, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to the incident and arrested Martinez on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor. He was booked into Live Oak County Jail and released the following day after posting a $3,500 bond.

In a statement shared via social media, Martinez maintained his innocence and his intention to fight the charge in court. “At this time, I want to be very clear: this is an accusation. I have not been convicted of any crime. I do believe wholeheartedly in the principles that guide our justice system—namely, the presumption of innocence and the right to due process. I look forward to the opportunity to contest these charges in court, where I will allow the process to take its rightful course,” he stated…
