The City of Corpus Christi was abuzz with the energy of law enforcement officers as they showcased their motorcycle handling skills at the annual Texas Police Games this June. Over 1,200 competitors from across the Lone Star State competed in various events, with the Motorcycle Rodeo being a highlight. The Burleson Police Department announced on their Facebook page that their own Sergeant Jason Tauch took home the silver medal in this high-octane challenge.
Competitors in the Motorcycle Rodeo were tested on agility, speed, and control as they maneuvered through two obstacle courses, performed in a slow ride challenge, and tackled a surprise skills course. Having walked away with not just a medal but also a wealth of experience, Sergeant Tauch was among the notably skilled participants, according to the social media post from the Burleson Police Department.
First-time rodeo participants, Officers Andrea Evans and Brian McDaniel, were also celebrating their newly gained experience, connections, and the completion of their TCOLE training hours at their first rodeo.
