Enrique Lopez pleads not guilty to first-degree felony charge of injury to a child causing serious bodily injury

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man accused of killing his girlfriend’s 3-year-old son has pleaded not guilty to a first-degree felony charge of injury to a child causing serious bodily injury.

Enrique Lopez is accused in the February death of Augustine Valencia V at the Veranda Apartments in Corpus Christi. Prosecutors allege Lopez inflicted fatal injuries on the child.
