A judge who serves San Patricio County as a justice of the peace recently earned an honor from a statewide organization in honor of her longtime service making a difference in San Patricio County and beyond.
On June 28, Judge Karen Diaz received the T.A. Vines Award from the Justice of the Peace and Constables Association (JPCA) of Texas during its annual conference. Diaz, who serves San Patricio County as its Precinct 4 justice of the peace, received special recognition during the San Patricio County Commissioners Court meeting on July 8.
The JPCA first presented the T.A. Vines award in 1990 to begin honoring outstanding individuals and exemplary members of its organization.
