Rockport volunteers reflect on Texas Hill Country flood relief

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — More than a week after devastating floods swept through parts of the Texas Hill Country, volunteers from Rockport are reflecting on their experience helping the community of Hunt.

The team coordinated with the Hunt Fire Department, bringing vital resources like hauling equipment, fuel, and an off-roading vehicle. But when they arrived, some of the team members say nothing could have prepared them for the devastation they encountered.

“When you see it in person, you can’t really describe it,” said Clayton Reynolds. “It was pretty brutal, and it was overwhelming the amount of work that you could see that needed to be done to help these people out.”…
