Bond reduction denied for accused Windrush Apartments shooter

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A judge on Tuesday denied the bond reduction of one of four suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of a “drug deal gone wrong.”

Judge Susan Barclay denied 18-year-old Aaron Fuentes’ request to reduce his bond. Fuentes’ bond is currently at $1.1 million.

Fuente’s attorney, Erik Perkins, explained to the judge that the defendant was only 17 when the crime happened and has ever since been in custody. The four suspects are accused of killing 21-year-old Justin Camacho at the Windrush Apartments on Kostoryz Road in January…
