The City of Sinton has elected a new council member to finish out an unexpired term in Place 4 of the council, according to unofficial elections results on July 22.
According to the results from the San Patricio County Elections Office, voters have elected LuLu Lopez to fill the vacant Place 4 seat on the Sinton City Council to finish out the unexpired term.
Lopez will finish out the term on the city council until the next general election for Place 4. She won the spot by receiving 55.17 % (48) of votes in the special election on July 22. She beat out Patricia G. Vargas, who received 39 votes or 44.83% of the votes…
